The figures recently released by the General Administration of the Customs show that in July 2012, Chinas exports of textiles and garment amounted to US$ 23.89 billion, down 8.1% year-on-year. Industry insiders said the situation will not get better in short time due to slump global market and increasing uncertainties of external economy. However, the exports will pick up moderately with the coming of boom season for textiles and garment on European and US markets.
The figures show that Chinas exports of textiles and garment totaled US$ 23.89 billion, down 8.1% year-on-year, in which, the exports of yarn, fabric and made-up goods amounted to US$ 8.00 billion, down 8.05%; the exports of garment and accessories amounted to US$ 15.89 billion, down 8.1%.
