A survey recently released by Shanxi Provincial Commission of Economy and Information Technology shows that garment and home-textiles enterprises have become the pillars of local textile industry. At present, there are 10 above-scale (with annual revenue more than CNY 20 million) enterprises in these two sectors, in which, 4 are located in Yuncheng City and 6 in Jincheng City.

Garment sector and home-textiles sector have experienced the fastest development among all textile sectors over the past few years. The two sectors have established a modern industrial system from product development, designing, manufacturing down to marketing and professional services and have developed a number of independent brands. In 2011, the prime business revenue of these two sectors amounted to CNY 2.23 billion, covering 43.5% of the local textile industry´s total, and their pre-tax profit reached CNY 223 million, covering 78.5% of the total.
