According to the General Administration of Customs, China exported US$ 185.17 billion worth of textiles and garments in year 2008, and its growth rate dropped from 26.28% to 8.18%. The export value comprises US$ 65.38 billion worth of textiles, which growth rate is 16.60% with a year-on-year increase of 1.6 percentage points, and US$119.79 billion worth of garments, registered a growth rate of 4.10%, 16.80 percentage points lower than 2007.
