CNTAC Statistics Center revealed that China´s yarn output totaled 21.49 million tons in 2008, increasing by 3.9 percent over the year-ago level; cloth output amounted to 71 billion meters, up 5.1 percent year-on-year. During the same period, the country yielded 24.15 million tons of chemical fibers, up by 0.1 percent compared with 2007.
