>In 2005, Benninger increased the turnover by over 30% to more than SFR 250 million, improving on the previous year's already very high level of incoming orders by 7% to record a total of SFR 257 million. Operating profits were up disproportionately as a consequence of tight cost management measures and innovative product/market strategies. According to the management of Benninger AG, the prospects for 2006 are good, so that the employment outlook at the factory is very positive. Worldwide, the Benninger Group employs around 700 people, a large proportion of which - approximately 450 employees and 50 trainees - is based in Uzwil, Switzerland.
>Despite the restructuring that was required, the performance improvements, attained in the process, are primarily thanks to the exceptional efforts and highly flexible attitude of the company's employees.

Asia - the most important market area

>The trend for customer investment in high-end execution for buyers in the highest quality segment remained at a somewhat low level, whereas sales of standard designs to Asia, primarily to the Indian subcontinent, accelerated further. The economic environment and the rapidly changing trade relations in the textile industry, both mean that projects need to be planned and realised with increasingly shorter lead times. Thanks to carefully cultivated client relationships and an ability to react very quickly and with great flexibility to customer requirements, Benninger has repeatedly demonstrated its ability to succeed. This has allowed Benninger to further strengthen the good market position in the key markets of China, India, Pakistan, Turkey and Italy. In addition to big investments in the development of new products and complete system solutions, Benninger has also invested significant amounts into expanding their logistics infrastructure.
The Benninger Group supplies customer-specific systems and installations for the textile industry in the areas of weaving preparation, textile finishing, tire cord dipping and control-systems which reliably guarantee production at a consistently high quality.
