ITMA 2007: Exhibition Area in High Demand

Updated: 6/7/2006 2:17:00 PM

Barely one and a half years before start of ITMA 2007, there are again positive details to report. More than 1,000 exhibitors have already registered, including 230 companies that were not at ITMA 2003.

Exhibitors from Germany have a large share of this good interim result. More than 230 German companies have reserved over 25,000 square metres of net exhibition space, which already amounts to an increase of approximately ten percent. Italian and Swiss manufacturers are currently in second and third places of applicants for exhibition space.

The number of registrations from Asia is very encouraging. Japanese exhibitors have already reserved an area almost 95 percent larger than compared to 2003. Chinese textile engineering, which is increasingly oriented to exports, has reserved exhibition space approximately 70 percent larger till now.

The area for machinery and accessories for the production of nonwovens has also become significantly more important than at the last ITMA. With 40 exhibitors and a net exhibition space of 7,800 square metres at the present time compared to 6,359 square metres in 2003, there is noticeable growth here of more than 20 percent. Consequently, it is already clear that this area will occupy more than one hall at ITMA 2007.

The good response from exhibitors proves that the position of ITMA as a leading trade fair remains uncontested and that it will set new standards as ‘THE PLACE FOR INNOVATION’’.
