China newly released the 11th five-year plan for the cotton textile industry. Here are the main points:

To promote the technology advancement and industry upgrade, wash out laggard equipment, and generalize the utilization of the advanced cotton textile equipment from home and abroad; to boost the production of high-grade combed yarn, blended yarn with multi-fibers, differential and functional chemical fiber blending, interweaving fabric, and enlarge the ratio of chemical fiber; to encourage the application of energy saving and waste reducing equipment.

Till the end of 2010, 65% of equipment should achieve the advancement of 1990s and international level. The productivity should increased to RMB55,000 yuan/person per year. The ratio of combed yarn should reach 30%.
