Mauldin, S.C.-based Mount Vernon Mills Inc. — a producer of textiles and related products for the apparel, industrial, institutional and commercial markets — has chosen Pottstown, Pa.-based Extol International Inc.’s business integration solutions to consolidate its internal and external systems. Extol supplies business-to-business integration software for resource-constrained companies that want to incorporate demand-driven supply chains.
Using Extol’s systems will help Mount Vernon to fulfill its initiative of delivering customer satisfaction, as one of the key elements of this goal is automating the exchange of complex business functions and transaction data. “Automation of any kind benefits both sides,” said Lisha Ferrell, electronic data interchange (EDI) coordinator, Mount Vernon Mills.
According to Ferrell, using Extol to integrate Mount Vernon’s suppliers’ and customers’ systems will promote business at a faster rate with fewer errors. In addition, Extol will automatically create buying forecasts for Mount Vernon’s customers, eliminating typographical errors and extra time formerly needed to manually input data.
