Oerlikon Textile, has sold its ERMAFA Kunststofftechnik Chemnitz GmbH to Donton Technologies GmbH, Dortmund, as part of its strategy to focus on its core business in the textile chain.

ERMAFA supplies extruders for a great number of process tasks, including man-made fibre production as well as plastic and rubber industries. The company makes entire blending lines and installations for rubber processing.

“In order to enhance our competitiveness, we are increasingly specialising in our core business along the textile value added chain,” said Dr. Carsten Voigtländer, chief executive of Oerlikon Textile. “This core business comprises high-class total solutions in textile machinery engineering and in the production and the processing of natural and man-made fibres, yarns and nonwoven fabrics.”
