On March 17, 2007, with the start of HEMPEL AWARD the 15th China International Young Fashion Designer Contest, China Fashion Week Collections A/W 07-08 Opening Ceremony launches in Banquet Hall of Beijing Hotel. In the following 9 fashion days, there will be more than 30 famous fashion designers and makeup stylists, over 100 new design talents and 27 fashion brands from 20 countries and regions such as China, France, Germany, Italy and Korea as well as Hong Kong (China) and Macao (China) to hold 25 collections of haute couture, fashion and makeup, 3 fashion design contests and 2 graduate selected works shows. Besides, 14 press conferences, 9 expert lectures and over 40 professional activities will not only bring us fashion trends A/W 07-08, but also enlarge international exchange and cooperation in fashion and ready-to-wear industry and promote brand development and competitive power.

Ⅰ. Brands Charm Brilliant in Fashion Trends
With the importance of brand culture and design inspiration in the fashion market, fashion trends collection has been the main way for designers and enterprises to guide the consumption and brand competitive power promotion. Original idea and design style have already been the key elements in market competition.

There will be 6 fashion trends collections in China Fashion Week, including BOSIDENG China Down Wear Trend Collection A/W 07-08, EDENBO China Business Casual Men’s Wear Fashion Trend Collection A/W 07-08, HOSA CUP China Lingerie Fashion Trend Collection 07-08, JIMMY Make up Fashion Trend Collection 2007, MGPIN Color Makeup Trends Collection 2007 and Children’s Wear Fashion Trends Collection A/W 07-08.

Ⅱ. New Talents Coming through Fashion Education and Practice
To train professional talents and select new fashion designers is not only the important responsibility for China Fashion Week serving industry innovation and brand development, but also the outstanding achievement made by enterprises and fashion brands. In the past years, China Fashion Association has attached high importance to the training and selection of professional talents. Many contests organized by CFA are not only the focus of fashion industry and society, but also the center for fashion talents. The contests not only exhibit the unique creation and talent of the young designers, but also show the social corporate responsibility of famous enterprises. 3 design contests finals will be held in China Fashion Week: HEMPEL AWARD the 15th China International Young Fashion Designer Contest, HOSA CUP the 4th China Swimwear Design Contest and QIPAI CUP China Costume Creation Contest.

China Fashion Week, which has been held for 10 years, is not only the international stage for the fashion brands and designers domestic and abroad, but also the world window for mutual exchange of fashion education, as well as the great launch pad for fashion institutes works shows and excellent graduates recommendation. Since 2004, Beijing Institute of Clothing Technology and BICT- Raffles College have held series teachers and students works show in China Fashion Week. In this Fashion Week, Beijing Institute of Clothing Technology will hold Graduate Selected Works Show for the forth time and so do Graduates from Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University.

The 1st “HI-TEC” Brand Road Fashion Forum which is organized by the Organizing Committee of “HI-TEC” Brand Road Fashion Forum, realized by Training Center of China Fashion Association, Beijing Times Bright China Education Development Co., Ltd. and HI-TEC CHINA, aims to become the international influential summit in fashion industry. With the principle of “bringing international think tank, accelerating brand development and promoting professional management of enterprises”, this forum will deliver 9 theme lectures focusing on “brand building and management strategy’. The forum will invite 11 experts from both domestic and abroad, including Mr. Lang Xianping, the famous economist; Ms. Catherine COCHAUD, the former President of LVMH Group; Professor of Korea FIK Fashion College to have a profound and professional discussion on fashion industry development strategy, brand differentiation strategy, data management, visual merchandizing, retail service system as well as boutique display design.

Ⅳ. Fashion Celebrities in Ten Fashion Years of China Fashion Week
From 4 fashion collections in 1997 to over 30 ones nowadays; from an annual event to biannual collections for S/S and A/W seasons; from the participation of local fashion designers and companies to the wide participation of overseas brands and designers, China Fashion Week creates an unusual decade.
