In April 2007, China produced 2.256 billion square meters of cotton fabric, with fabric output totaling 4.127 billion square meters. This gave cotton a 54.67 percent market share of fabric output, which is on par with the market share achieved in first quarter 2007 of 54.65 and is an improvement from the previous year.
