China´s yarn output reached 1.6952 million tons in August, which reflected 7.2 percent year-on-year growth and was also the second highest monthly production level on record. September 2006 through August 2007 cumulative yarn output totaled 19.03 million tons, representing 18.70 percent year-on-year growth.
