Yarn Output Slows in Jiangsu Province - Expands in Shandong (11/06/2007)

China´s August through September yarn production declined 7.9 percent to 3,416,300 tons. Shandong Province has maintained its role as the top yarn producer, with output increasing 12.8 percent to 991,200 tons. However, in Jiangsu, the second largest yarn-producing province, cotton yarn production has experienced a loss of 5.3 percent to 641,000 tons. Among the minor cotton-producing provinces, Xinjiang´s output is up 31.1 percent at 61,600 tons.
