According to the national plan of supporting the country´s textile industry China will encourage and promote the technology upgrade of common R&D projects as follows:

·To support cleaner production in textile industry and new technology to deal with polluted air, water and solid waste in chemical fiber production;
·To encourage the development of new style of eco-friendly finishing oil, additives, modifiers, dyestuffs and chemicals for chemical fiber production;
·To promote R&D projects for industrializing the application of basic scientific research including nanotechnology, intelligent materials and genetic engineering;
·To achieve a complete technology upgrade in line with international standards;
·To combine high-grade fabrics development with that of high-performance and differentiated fiber;
·To enhance the research and development on high-performance industrial textiles and other related functional fibers;
·To encourage R&D projects on high-performance fiber composites and functional polymer materials;
·To support R&D projects on new style of high-performance spunbond and meltblown nonwovens;
·To hold up research and development of advanced recycling technologies for waste materials;
·To continue the upgrade process of new generation information technology.
