Despite the fact that most industries are still suffering from the economic downturn, ShanghaiTex 2009 will be held from June 12th to 15th at the Shanghai New International Expo Center in Pudong, Shanghai.

With a focus on innovation, environmental friendliness and energy saving, lots of new and high-tech products will be displayed, providing a premier trading platform for corporations to display their latest products, exchange technology and to promote their brands, as well as meeting and communicating with the players of textile industry.

According to the organizer, the exhibiting area will reach 100,000 sq. meters with a thousand exhibitors from 17 countries and regions, including pavilions from Korea, Taiwan and Germany.

ShanghaiTex is expected to attract over 100,000 visitors from various countries and regions, including China´ s top 500 textile and apparel enterprises such as the Ruyi Group, Mesbon Chemical Fibre, Frousans Knitting Co., Rutai Textile Group and Dashan Group. Renowned overseas buyers including fashion house HandM and sport chain store Columbia, will also be visiting the exhibition.

ShanghaiTex 2009 has also gained support from various textile associations and institutions in China, as well as from abroad, such as the Indian Textile Confederation, APTMA (All Pakistan Textile Mills Association) and Indonesia Textile Association, which are organizing delegations to visit and source at ShanghaiTex.
