Latest statistics showed that China nonwoven industry has enjoyed continued growth since the beginning of this year. The above-scale enterprises yielded 480000 tons of nonwovens in the first five months of 2009, up 27.8 percent year-on-year. The output in May amounted to 110000 tons, up 28.8 percent. The sector realized 2.56 billion yuan (374 million US dollars) in fixed-assets investment during January to May period, with a year-on-year increase of 47.5 percent.
