Ten Chinese textile companies have jointly released their 2008 corporate social responsibility report (CSR) at a conference held by the China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC) in late June. At the conference CNTAC also initiated a three-year working plan for social responsibility in the Chinese textile and garment industry, which aims to have 500 textile enterprises adopting CSR management systems and 100 textile companies releasing CSR reports according to CSR-GATE guidelines by the end of 2011.
