Latest statistics provided by China Customs showed that the country’s total import and export value of textile machinery stood at 1.1 billion US dollars in the first three months of 2009, sharply down 56.34 percent over a year-ago level. Of which, the exports amounted to 231 million US dollars, down 41.83 percent; imports was 866 million US dollars, down 61.48 percent year-on-year.
1、Export witnessed continued decline
During the January-March period, knitting machinery were still the best sellers, covering the highest share of 40.29 percent of total exports, while spinning machine led the slump with export value down 71.02 percent from the previous year’s period.
