Zhang Dejiang, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and vice Premier of the State Council stressed while conducting an investigation of industrial economy in Shaanxi recently that we shall deeply carry out and implement the Scientific Outlook on Development, closely combine promoting industrial stable and fast growth and lifting the quality of economic development, focus on the adjustment of industrial structure, boost technical reform and independent innovation and practically strengthen business management.

Zhang emphasized that we shall handle well the relation of the current economic development and long-term economic development, not only struggling to increase economic aggregate but also sparing no efforts to lift the quality of economic development. Great efforts shall be made to facilitate the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure. We shall positively cultivate and develop emerging industries, resolutely eliminate the backward production capacity and prevent repeated construction. Also, we shall make full use of the supporting role of backbone enterprises and pillar industries in economic development, and simultaneously, take more effective measures to boost the development of minor enterprises. We shall beef up technical reform and independent innovation, take initiatives to develop the new products with characteristics and make the independent brands fine and strong. In addition, we shall strengthen and perfect business management, lift the quality of products, improve after-sale service and gain market, efficiency and competitiveness from management.
