Mr. WangTiankai, Vice president of China National Textile and Apparel Council(CNTAC) pointed out recently that domestic sale increase is becoming the savior to pull the whole industry out of the swampland. Statistics show that over-scale textile companies have seen 9.4% domestic sales increase during the first seven months of 2009 in contrast with only 2.79% increase in January and February. Statistics from CNTAC also indicates that international market demand is still shrinking up and hardly any solid positive signals can be seen currently. At the meantime, some difficulties still widely remain like shrunk-up international market, fluctuating exchange rate, trade protection and etc. Plus, domestic textiles and apparel export has much too much dependency on developed countries and our national brands have limited added-value. Domestic demand still needs to be incessantly stimulated, but international market must have to be explored to a much further depth in order to enhance China national textile industry competitive strength said Mr. Wang.
