Textile industry saw added value increase in the first eight months (10/15/2009)

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently unveiled the consumable industry running situation of August revealing that the overall consumable industry added value has increased by 10.9%. The first eight months have seen 9.5% increase of consumable industry added value.

Textile industry specifically has increased by 10.5%, down by 0.8% compared with July. Textile products export value has decreased by 2.8%. Textile industry added value has increased by 8.5% during the first eight months of 2009. Major products have slowed down manufacturing pace during August. Yarn and apparel manufacturing respectively has seen 12.7% and 5.1% increase which has decreased by 0.7% and 3.8% in contrast with July while fabrics manufacturing has increased by 5.8% which is 1.7% faster.
