1.General overview

Textile machinery industry of the first eight months has seen an overall sales income surpassing 38.7 billion RMB, increased by 1.53% and with 4.79% of faster growth as contrast to the year 2008. Entire textile machinery industry capital asset added up to 58.76 billion RMB, increased by 3.38%, with growth speed declined by as much as 10.33% year-on-year. As of August 31st, there are over 1025 companies with 52 new incomers engaged in textile machinery manufacturing or service-supplying. Overall employment reached up to 140 thousand with more than 14 thousand workforce being laid off.
