According to Fujian Changle local government, the textile industrial value in this region was 42.7 billion yuan in 2009, up 15.4% year over year. By category, the chemical fiber production was 1.4 million tons, with industrial value 13.11 billion yuan, up 19.6%. The spindles in cotton textile industry reached four million pieces, up 14.5%. The industrial value of knitting, warp-knitting, dyeing & printing, and garment reached 12.58 billion yuan, up 15.3%. of which, the production of lace accounted for 20% of the whole market in China.
