Updated: 2/3/2010 10:40:00 AM

The economic working conference of Xinjiang Autonomous Region wrapped up with a series of favorable polices to help build two spotlighted textile manufacturing bases in Xinjiang: Shihezi textile manufacturing base and Akesu textile manufacturing base.

Xinjiang is the largest cotton-producing regions in China with a steady annual cotton output over 2.5 million tons which makes textile industry to be the future No.1 industry in Xinjiang.

Both Shihezi and Akesu are endowed with abundant cotton resources. Favorable policy support toward the construction of the two textile industry parks was also nailed down in the economic working conference to further optimize the investment ambience. Many mainland textile companies might possibly be absorbed to invest in Xinjiang.
