CPI Rose 1.2% at the Link Relative Ratio in February (03/15/2010)

Economic data of January to February issued by the National Bureau of Statistics today indicated that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) saw an increasingly year-on-year rise.

In February, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 2.7% year-on-year (down 1.6% in the same month last month), up 1.2 percentage points from the previous month, of which CPI in cities rose 2.6% year-on-year, and that in rural areas 2.9%; food price rose 6.2%, and non-food price 1.0%; consumer price rose 3.0% and service price 1.7%. From January to February, the CPI rose 2.1% year-on-year (down 0.3% in the same period last year).

On that current month, CPI rose 1.2% at the link relative ratio, of which CPI in cities rose 1.2% at the link relative ratio, and that in rural areas 1.1%; food price rose 3.3% at the link relative ratio, and non-food price 0.1%; and consumer price rose 1.2% at the link relative ratio, and service price 1.0%.
