The bilateral trade volume between China and Georgia grew 86 percent year on year to 46.77 million U.S. dollars in the first two months this year, said a statement posted on the Ministry of Commerce´s web site Monday.
Georgia´s exports to China amounted to 3.02 million U.S. dollars in the first two months, jumping 354 percent from a year ago. China´s exports to Georgia rose 79 percent to 43.75 million U.S. dollars.
China became Georgia´s fifth largest trading partner, said the statement without giving the reasons for the trade growth.
