March 14th, China´ s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released a cleaner production technology proposal regarding 17 highlighted industries. Excerptions concerning textile printing and dyeing industry are as follows:
Overall targets
Energy consumption targets up until 2012:
Averaged energy consumption of printed and dyed fabrics to reach 42 kg of standard coal per hundred meters and the energy consumption of printing and dyeing industry to be brought down by 2.04 million tons per annum;
Fresh water consumption be brought down to 2.5 tons per hundred meters and overall consumption to be brought down to 1.275 billion tons per annum.
Waste water discharge be brought down to 2 tons per hundred meters and overall consumption to be brought down to 1.02 billion tons per annum.
