Shihezi Keeps Forging Ahead to Be the Leading Textile Base in Western China (06/17/2010)

Shihezi, Xinjiang province, has entered into a new stage of development along with the across-the-board recovery of China textile industry. Several major spinning programs are all to be wrapped up till the end of the year: the 16,000 spindle program invested by Tiansheng Textile which has already been put into production; the second stage program of Huafang Group with an overall investment of 500 million CNY has already been kicked off and supposed to be finished before yearend; three other programs viz. the 70,000 spindle program by Tangcheng Textile, 50,000 spindle program by Beidoutuoling textile and 60,000 spindle program by Ruisheng Textile are all blueprinted to be wrapped up within this year. Overall spinning capacity of Shihezi has reached 1.5 million spindles by the end of 2009 and it is estimated to top 2.5 million spindles until the year end of 2010. Shihezi has made a substantial move toward the construction of leading textile base in western China.
