Hi-end Textile Machinery Demand Kept Increasing (07/12/2010)

The impact of global financial crisis presented a warning to all textile companies that industrial upgrade is a must now. Many financially sufficient companies all started to introduce advanced equipments to guarantee their market share. Mr. Xu Wenying, vice president of China National Textile and Apparel Council indicated in the ITMA ASIA + CITME 2010 that the investment of China cotton textile industry maintained a positive growth in 2009 against the blunt of economic downturn and the proportion of high-end textile equipments continued to rise. China now possessed 4.43 million spindles of compact spinning. Automatic doffing machines, blowing-carding units, automatic winding machines and shuttleless looms all gained more proportion. Since the beginning of 2010, the provincial fixed asset investment all began to upswing along with the gradual recovery of China textile industry. The import of aforementioned machinery types all indicated varied growth. The first quarter of 2010, China has imported 767 sets of automatic winding machines, rose by 263.5% year-on-year,? 27 sets of rotary spinning machines,? also rose by 263.5%,? 1849 sets of air-jet spinning frames, rose by 248.87% and 363,5 sets of shuttleless looms, rose by 318.87%. Although the cardinal number of last year is low, the statistics also indicated increasing demand of high-end equipments.
