At the work conference on facilitation of hi-tech industrialization of Shanghai on July 28, it was revealed that the production value of the hi-tech industries in Shanghai would increase by USD100b this year. The thoughts on hi-tech industrialization in Shanghai were formed last year. Efforts would be made to achieve the objective of RMB1.1t production value of 9 major hi-tech industries by 2012 by industrialization of the said industries including new energy, civil aviation manufacturing, major advanced equipment manufacturing, biological pharmaceutics, electronic information manufacturing, new-energy automobile, marine engineering equipment, new materials and software and information service industry.
