The municipal government of Aksu has recently rolled out a textile industry construction blueprint. According to a government officer of Aksu, the new Aksu Textile Industrial Park will cover an area of 54 square kilometers.

For the next ten years from 2010 to 2020, total capacity of Aksu will be reaching 6 million spindles incorporating a complete industrial chain and associated services including cotton textile, chemical fiber, knitting, weaving, dyeing and finishing, home textile, garment-making, logistics and etc. First stage program is projected from 2010 to 2015 accomplishing 2 million spindles of capacity, covering 19.81 square kilometers of area and second stage program is projected from 2016 to 2010 reaching 6 million spindles of capacity.
