In order to lay a solid foundation to cope with the hard situation, Xinjiang textile industry plans to further invest CNY 4.5 billion in fixed assets, the same level as in last year.
In 2013, local textile industry and enterprises will continue to make good use of various favorable policies and supporting funds for technical reform, technological innovation and new product development provided to small- and medium-sized textile enterprises and garment enterprises. Projects relating to textile, printing, dyeing and finishing, knitting (including hosiery), garment (accessories), home-textiles and carpet will enjoy priority.
It is reported that the local textile industry will focus on 35 key projects, including the 12 million square meters of ink-jet printed nonwoven fabric project of Xinjiang Meisi Digital Printing Technology Co., Ltd., the hosiery project of Horgos Port and the 500,000-spindle spinning and hosiery project of Mengna Holding (Group) Co., Ltd. These projects are based on local textile industrial park, complying with the 12th "Five-year Plan" and the strategy of developing "two textile town, seven industrial park and one center" for creating favorable environment for textile industry.
According to a responsible person from the administration office of textile industry, in 2013, Xinjiang will promote the further development of local textile industry by carrying out a number of exemplary projects transferred from the coastal areas and pushing forward the preparation work of a number of major projects. It plans to add a new spinning capacity of 500,000 spindles and 50,000 rotors and install 100 sets of circular knitting machines.
