Xiangyang City in Hubei Province recently has mapped out the five-year plan for developing farm produces and downstream processing industries. It plans to invest CNY 3.1 billion in setting up a number of key projects, so as to improve production technology and equipment level and promote the transformation and upgrading of textile industry.

The cotton processing project of Yicheng Xinghua Industrial and Trade Co. is designed to process annually 10,000 tons of cotton seeds, 10,000 tons of cotton seed protein, 60,000 tons of forage and 50,000 tons of gossypol.

Hubei Zhengchun Mingwei Textile Machinery Co., Ltd. will install 1,000 looms and 100,000 spindles and expect to turn out an industrial output of CNY 1 billion.

Meilai Home-textiles Co., Ltd. will set up a production line for producing annually 500,000 pieces of silk-padded quilt which is expected to turn out an industrial output of CNY 1 billion.

Baokang Lvsheng Modern Agriculture Co., Ltd. of Dashanhe Group will invest CNY 10 million in setting up a project for producing 500,000 pieces of silk-padded quilt every year.

Kangjida Energy-saving Science and Technology Co., Ltd. will set up a production line for producing yearly 120,000 tons of super-fine cotton.
