The awarding ceremony of the State Scientific and Technological Award was held in Beijing on January 18, 2013. 330 projects and 7 scientists were bestowed the national award.

In the textile-related field, 5 projects won the scientific and technological award, including "Fermentation Production and Application Technology of Key Enzymes for Pretreatment of Cotton Fabric before Dyeing and Finishing"by Jiangnan University and "Key Technologies for Manufacture of High-performance PVDF Hollow Fiber Membrane and Its Application in Sewage Water Treatment" by Tianjin Polytechnic University and Tianjin Motian Membrane Science and Technology Co., Ltd. won the second prize of national technology innovation award; "The Production Technology, Equipment and Application of Carbon/Carbon Composite Material"by Shanghai University, "Key Production Technologies and Industrial Application of Bamboo Pulp Fiber and Its Products"by Donghua University, Hebei Jigao Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. Soochow University, Wujiang Hengsheng Yarn Industrial Co., Ltd., Changzhou Xinhao Printing & Dyeing Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Shengruisi Knitting Co., Ltd. and "Key Technologies and Equipment for Large-capacity Polyamide 6 Polymerization and Fine-denier Nylon 6 Fiber Production"won the second prize of national scientific and technological progress award.
