Benefit from the transfer of textile industry from coastal areas to inland and product upgrading, the textile industry in Hubei Province realized a value added of CNY 60.38 billion, up 22.2% year-on-year in the first eleven months of this year, improving 0.3 percentage points from a year earlier. The production of yarn, fabric and garment rose respectively 25.1%, 25.7% and 16% year-on-year. Meanwhile, the share-in-total of garment, home-textiles and technical textiles has increased.

In the January-October period, the local textile industry earned a prime business revenue of CNY 178.3 billion, up 26.6%; a profit of CNY 6.05 billion, up 31.2% and taxes of CNY 4.83 billion, up 26.2%. Garment and textile made-up goods producers earned more profit, while cotton textile enterprises operated in difficulties. The whole-year prime business revenue of the textile industry is expected to reach CNY 220 billion.
