China Chemical Fibers Association and Yuyao People´s Government in Zhejiang Province are making joint efforts to promoting the construction of national production base for new fiber materials in Yuyao. The production base will focus on hi-tech, high value-added and differential products.

Wu Yan, deputy director of the merchandizing bureau of Yuyao said that the national production base will be positioned on producing differential fibers, new-type polyester fibers and regenerated fibers for garment and home-textiles production, special fibers for technical textiles and technical textile end products as well as biomass fibers and raw materials. All the projects in this production base are in accordance with the direction of current and future development of the chemical fiber industry and have great market potential. The production base will be located in the new area of Yuyao bordering the sea and near the Hangzhou Bay Bridge, boasting convenient transportation. It will cover a land area of about 415 hectares.
