In 2012, the exports of textiles and garment from Nantong, Jiangsu Province maintained steady growth. The exports totaled US$ 6.04 billion, up 3% year-on-year, accounting for 32% of local total import and export value.

In 2012, the export of garment amounted to US4 3.63 billion, up 2.4%, year-on-year, accounting for 19.3% of the local total export value; the export of textiles totaled US$ 1.88 billion, up 10.5%, accounting for 10% of the total. In 2012, the shipments of garment from Nantong Customs totaled 372 million pieces (sets), worth of US$ 2.34 billion, up respectively 2.62% and 0.72% from a year earlier.
