The 400,000-t/a differential fiber project of Zhejiang Hengteng Differential Fiber Co., Ltd. of Tongkun Group has successfully run into production and the entire process realized zero discharge.

With a total investment of about CNY 1.8 billion, the project is one of the key projects in the 12th five-year plan of Tongkun Group and the group´s first differential fiber project outside its headquarters. It adopts state-of-the-art large-capacity, flexible production technology and latest spinning and winding equipment. It consists of 18 direct-spinning lines as well as associated auxiliary equipment and utilities. It is designed to produce 400,000 tons of differential fibers every year.

The construction started at the end of 2011 and was completed in this January. The test run on January 26 was successful. After being put into full operation, it is expected to turn out annual sales revenue of more than CNY 5 billion.

The project is one of the three key projects in the group´s strategy of expansion and extending production chain. The other projects are 800,000-t/a PTA project in Jiaxing and the third-phase project for 270,000 tons of differential fibers in Hengtong Industrial Park.
