China is projected to issue 2.6 million tons of cotton import quota for 2011. The quota includes 894,000 tons of one percent tariff quota and 1.706 million tons of sliding duties quota. China has announced 3.594 million tons of cotton import quota for the year 2010. From January to November, 2010, a total 2.377 million tons of cotton were imported which is far from reaching the upper limit.
