It is reported from the Economic and Information Commission of Chongqing Municipality that the textile industry in Chongqing maintained a steady growth, which is reflected in major economic indicators. In January-March of this year, textile enterprises above designated scale (annual prime business revenue up to CNY 20 million) realized a gross industrial output of CNY 5.11 billion, up 14.97% year-on-year; earned an industrial value added near CNY 1.49 billion, up 15.3% year-on-year; generated a total profit CNY 175 million, up 2.05% and invested CNY 8.74 billion in fixed assets, up 11.28%.
