It is reported that Chongqing Environmental Protection Bureau has recently accepted the application of Bayer Material Technology (Chongqing) Co., Ltd. for evaluating the environmental impact of its project for producing annually 30,000 tons of PU and 20,000 tons of polycarbonate and the bureau has publicized related contents.

According to Bayer´s plan, it will invest US$60 million in the first phase of the project, which is scheduled to start production in October 2013. The project is Bayer´s first chemical industry project in west China.
